Man dies in CT tidal pool tragedy
Johannesburg - A Cape Town man has died of a suspected heart attack while swimming at the St James tidal pool, the city's disaster risk management centre said on Sunday.
"According to paramedics it is suspected that the man sustained a severe heart attack when he slipped in the tidal pool and knocked his head," said acting manager Wilfred Solomons-Johannes.
Kashief Goodman, 47, was pulled from the tidal pool by bystanders and family members who called emergency services,
Paramedics attempted to revive him and took him to the False Bay Hospital in Fish Hoek - but he was declared dead on arrival.
