Johannesburg - A man died when his truck plunged off a bridge on the N2 near Gingindlovu in KwaZuklu-Natal on Tuesday, paramedics said.
It was not clear what caused the vehicle to drive off the Tugela River Bridge, said Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha.
He said paramedics found the wreckage of the truck in a cane field 60m below the road surface,
He said two occupants, the driver and a passenger, were found near the wreckage. They had been ejected from the vehicle.
The passenger died on the scene and the driver was taken to the Stanger Provincial Hospital with serious injuries.
