Man dies in Randpark Ridge crash

2012-03-24 16:59
Johannesburg - A man died and three others were critically injured when their car rolled in Randpark Ridge, paramedics said on Saturday.

The man who died was driving and was flung out the car and into a tree, Netcare 911 spokesperson Jeffrey Wicks said.

The accident happened in Cedar Road on Friday night.

One of the critically injured passengers was a 15-year-old girl who was airlifted in a Netcare helicopter to hospital. The two other passengers, both men, were taken to hospital by ambulance.

"It appears the car rolled several times," Wicks said.

The jaws of life were used by rescuers to free the trapped passengers from the car.
