Johannesburg - Two men died and one is still missing after they were swept away in flash floods, Johannesburg police and emergency services said on Sunday.
Emergency services' spokesperson Malcolm Midgely said an unidentified man was swept away in flash floods in Naledi in Soweto on Saturday.
"Eye witnesses informed the police and they called us. We only recovered his body on Sunday."
In a separate incident, a man died and one is still missing after they were swept away in flash floods in Ivory Park on Saturday.
Police spokesperson Eugene Opperman said the flash floods washed away the man and his elderly father when they tried to cross a river.
"The father's body was recovered shortly afterwards. Their identities are being withheld until all their next of kin have been informed," said Opperman.
Police will continue searching for the missing man's body on Monday.
