Bloemfontein - A 59-year-old Wesselsbron man was arrested for raping his domestic worker at home, Free State police said on Wednesday.
Constable Aaron Lebabo said the domestic worker, 30, was busy working in another room when her employer called her into his bedroom to help search for a T-shirt.
The man then grabbed the woman and raped her.
He apparently continued until his stepdaughter, who lives in a back room, found him and shouted for him to stop.
When the stepdaughter intervened the woman managed to escape and the police were called.
Lebabo said the man appeared in the Wesselsbron Magistrates Court on Wednesday on a charge of rape.
His case was postponed, but he remains in police custody.
