Johannesburg - A 48-year-old accused of raping a teenage girl has been arrested in Matlelerekeng, Limpopo police said.

He was taken to custody on Sunday after raping a 14-year-old girl at her mother's house, said Constable Lethunya Mmuroa.

The man was caught hiding naked under the bed by the sister of the girl.

"The sister of the victim called the neighbours to help, the man took his clothes and ran away."

The man was identified as the next door neighbour. He would appear in the Moutse Magistrate's Court soon.
