Man held for shooting cops

Johannesburg - A 32-year-old man has been arrested in Vereeniging for allegedly shooting and wounding two police officers, Pretoria police said on Thursday.
Inspector Daniel Mavimbela said the man allegedly shot two police officers on Friday in Atteridgeville's Saulsville Hotel.
"Police were in pursuit of a man who was wanted in connection with a house robbery case when the shooting happened."
Police also confiscated the gun used in the attack. The two officers were recovering at the Atteridgeville Hospital.
The arrested man was charged with attempted murder and expected to appear in the Atteridgeville Magistrate's Court on Friday.
