There are no lights along that stretch of road, and unfortunately, pedestrians are often killed along that road, through no fault of the drivers. Municipality needs to make a plan and build a few bridges for them to get across safely.

Instead of spending all that money on the e-tolling system (which has not come into effect yet, thank goodness), they should rather have put up secure fencing that would have prohibited people and animals gaining access to the highway.

Shame RIP. He was probably just trying to get to work or get hime. They really need to take the roads more pedestrian friendly.

What i'm guessing is, it was his time, he refused to go on the first, second and third hit. I bet the ordeal proved too painful so he just relented on the fourth. Life can be cruel. R.I.P dude. I just hope the authorities learn from this and take necessary steps to ensure fewer or zero pedestrian deaths.

secure fencing and bridges will not help, people cross wherever they want to cross and thats it.... one cannot build bridges every 100m..... i feel for his family but untill people learn the rules of the road these things will happen... remember the good old days when you got fined for jaywalking???? hell now you can set up a spaza shop in the middle of an intersection and not get rapped across the knuckles!!!
