Man hit by train

Cape Town - A man was killed when he was hit by a train in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, on Wednesday morning, Metrorail said.
An empty train struck the man around 404:00 near Nolungile station. He was fatally injured, regional manager Lindelo Matya said.
A number of trains were delayed for hours while police conducted investigations and recovered the body, he said.
On Tuesday, a woman and her two children were killed when they stood in front of an oncoming train outside Eerste River in Strand, Western Cape.
Also on Tuesday, a woman was hit and killed by a train in Edendale, Pietermaritzburg. Her two-year-old baby escaped injury.
