He committed suicide, his life must've been a living nightmare.

Is ten meters really that high? did he lose conciousness when he hit the surface of the water?

  • Marion - 2012-03-04 14:30

Maybe the oke just slipped... RIP.

      Tanie - 2012-03-04 15:35

HO! Marion I thought there is a difference between jump and slip or maybe you changed the constitution too to satisfy yourself.

Uhm yeah 10 meters is high. Especially when you consider that as humans we are not as buoyant as we would like to believe. Calculate your weight multiplied by gravity, the height of the jump and the depth of the river and factor in the lung capacity (guesstimate) and then you have a formula for how easily it could go wrong. Especially if you exhale on your way down.

Poor thing but I don't blame him, I would too if I lived in SA.

      mrtnlemmer - 2012-03-04 21:48

Nope... I would rather jump off a cliff than to be as ignorant as you.

  • Maximus Odinidus - 2012-03-04 23:18

Btw, jumping from 10 meters up is the equivalent of stacking 2 double decker busses and jumping off the top one.

      Leroy - 2012-03-05 07:43

allot would survive landing in solid ground to be honest, obviously not landing on their head, so no a 10m waterfall is not that high really.

As kids we used to jump off that same area into the pools below. In my late teens I went with friends again, hit the water at the wrong angle and fractured my pelvis and 5 vertebra... it was like hitting concrete! There are a lot of possibilites here but anyway, RIP to the poor guy. And condolences to his family and friends.
