Man killed, 15 hurt in Welkom taxi crash

Johannesburg - A man was killed and fifteen people were injured when their minibus taxi overturned outside Welkom, Free State on Saturday morning, paramedics said.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Jeffrey Wicks said the driver lost control of the taxi, which then overturned and rolled repeatedly.

The man died at the scene. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.

    I rest my case, when is this Government going to catch a wake up. LEAVE BIKERS ALONE!! We don't kill people the way taxis do. Or is this the Governments way of wiping out its nation?? Really people, taxis are a major menace and when involved in an accident there is usually 15 plus people either hurt or dead. Taxis should be boycotted there needs to be stricter rules brought in on them. How is it possible that these taxi drivers manage to get PDP's? Or are they bought? For goodness sake they playing with peoples lives and causing major harassment to other road users!!
