Man killed in Pretoria shoot-out

Johannesburg - One man was killed and two others wounded in a shoot-out with police in Akasia, Pretoria, on Thursday afternoon, Gauteng police said.
Three men in a silver Mercedes Benz fired at police following them, Lieutenant Colonel Katlego Mogale said.
Police returned fire, killing one of the men in the car and wounding two others. One of the wounded men was taken to hospital under police guard.
The second one was treated on the scene and arrested.
The three were believed to have been involved in a house robbery on Tuesday night in Laudium. The perpetrators fled in a silver Mercedes Benz.
"Police are not ruling out the possibility of linking the suspects to several house robberies in the Laudium area," Mogale said.
The two would appear in court soon on charges of attempted murder, house robbery and possession of unlicensed firearms.
