Man killed in Vaal R59 crash

Johannesburg - A 40-year-old man was killed and four others injured when their vehicle lost control on the R59 in the Vaal triangle on Saturday, paramedics said.

The accident happened at 16:45 near Meyerton when the vehicle lost control and ejected all five of its occupants, said ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks.

One of the injured, a man, was in a critical condition. The three other victims, a woman and two children, ages five and eight, were also injured.

All four people were taken to various hospitals.
