Johannesburg - A 21-year-old man was stabbed in the chest in Brixton on Friday afternoon, said Johannesburg metro police.
Chief superintendent Wayne Minnaar said two men, who work in the same area, were at High Street in Brixton when they started arguing over a parking space.
One then stabbed the other, who was taken to Helen Joseph Hospital.
Minnaar said the suspect, also in his 20s, was likely to appear in the Brixton magistrate's court on Monday.
"The man will be charged with assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm," he said.
