Man loses control of car

2012-05-02 11:20

Polokwane - A man died when his car rolled on the N12 between Klerksdorp and Potchefstroom in the North West province on Tuesday evening, emergency workers said.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Jeffrey Wicks said it looked like the driver, who was alone in the car, lost control.

"Common cause information indicates that the driver lost control of his vehicle which pushed from the road and overturned, rolling several times before coming to rest," Wicks said.

An hour earlier, on the same stretch of road, a motorist had a lucky escape when his car hit a kudu. The kudu was killed but there were no human deaths in that accident, Wicks said.

Headlines! Headlines! Why 'Man Loses Control of Car' then say Netcare says it 'looks like'? Why can't you just say: 'Man killed in car crush'?

The headline is an idication that we are learning. Putting the responsibility where it belongs. None of this " Car leaves road-kills 3" or " Car fails to negotiate turn" type of nonsense. In saying this, there is no reflection on the berieved family at all. I wish them strength through these trying times and trust the deceased rests in peace.
