Durban - A 31-year-old man was arrested at King Shaka International Airport after he was found with 2kg of cocaine in his luggage, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Tuesday.

The Bolivian man was nabbed on Monday evening after police and customs officials received a tip-off that the drugs were en-route to Durban.

“His luggage was searched and officials found two parcels containing a total 2kg of cocaine with a street value of approximately R600 000,” Captain Thulani Zwane said in a statement.

The man had taken a flight from Brazil via Dubai.
