Man nabbed for KZN cop murder

Durban - A 21-year-old man was arrested on Monday in Westville, Durban, in connection with the death of a police officer in January this year, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Tuesday.

Inspector Les Botha said Constable Alfred Phoswa and a colleague were investigating a rape case when they were confronted by three men. One of them drew a firearm and shot Phoswa.

The suspect is expected to appear in the New Hanover Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
