Cape Town - A Cape Town woman has allegedly been raped by a homeless man to whom she had just given a meal.

The Weekend Argus reported that the attack took place on Friday night when the woman’s husband and children were out.

The Thornton woman’s husband tried to call 10111 but they hung up on him. A friend then called the police.

When the husband and the investigating officer tried to find the attacker on the city’s CCTV footage on Saturday, metro cops in Goodwood refused to let them see the footage.

The furious husband believed he might have been able to see his wife’s attacker, who was on foot.

A police spokesperson said the woman had been in her house when she heard the dogs bark and saw a strange man who said her husband had told him to come for a meal.
