Man shocked after hijack

Johannesburg - A 25-year-old man was severely traumatised after he was allegedly hijacked and stuffed into the boot of his Audi in the early hours of Sunday morning.
 
Paramedics from ER24 were dispatched to the R59 in Duncanville shortly after 08:00 on Sunday morning after being informed of an accident. When they arrived at the scene, they found an overturned car and the man standing next to it with minor cuts and bruises to his face.
 
He told them he had been hijacked and shoved into the boot of his car by four men. The men apparently drove around with him for hours until they lost control over the vehicle and rolled it.
 
The man said the hijackers stopped at what he thought was a garage to refuel. He tried to draw attention by making a noise but the hijackers quickly sped off with him still in the boot.
 
The man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Werner Vermaak of ER24 said police had found two suspects in a nearby field and would investigate the incident.
