Johannesburg - A man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly stabbing his friend in a fight over food in Kagiso on the West Rand, police said.
Police followed leads and found the 23-year-old man at his home in Extension 12 in the morning, Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya said.
He stabbed his 22-year-old friend three times in the chest with a knife at a bring-and-braai party two weeks ago.
The attacker apparently gave food to party-goers who made no contribution to the event. He stabbed the friend who complained about giving people food for free, and ran away.
The wounded man was recovering at home after he was discharged from hospital on Monday.
The attacker was expected to face a charge of attempted murder in court soon.
