Man thrown off train

Johannesburg - A man has died after allegedly being thrown out of a speeding Metrorail train by security guards because he did not have a ticket.
Thabo Tsatsana, 27, of Kagiso in the West Rand was found lying on the railway line between
Florida and Randburg.
Tsatsana's aunt, Helena Moseki, told Daily Sun that Tsatsana had worked at a supermarket in
Florida and often took the train back home.
"When he did not return home, we called in the police. After four days we went to the
Roodepoort mortuary where we found his body.
"We were told that three security guards threw him off the train because they thought he did
not have a ticket, but when police found him, he had a ticket in his pocket," Moseki said.
The three guards were arrested, but they claimed that Tsatsana had jumped off the train after they
confronted him about the ticket.
Moseki said: "He had received his salary and had a ticket. There was no reason for him to get
on the train without a ticket."
Police spokesperson Melica Bezuidenhout said a murder docket had been opened, but that the case was withdrawn by a Roodepoort magistrate.
Bezuidenhout added that police did not know why the case had been withdrawn.
