Maqubela trial: State concludes evidence

2011-12-01 20:55

Pretoria - The State has finished leading evidence on cellphone records in the trial of a businessman and the widow of Western Cape High Court judge Patrick Maqubela, the SABC reported on Thursday.

Thandi Maqubela and co-accused Vela Mabena are on trial for the alleged murder of the judge, who died in June 2009.

He was found wrapped in a sheet with a bloody pillow covering his face in his apartment in Bantry Bay.

The evidence showed that transmissions from both the judge's cellphone and that of his wife came from the same vicinity when friends and family were baffled about his whereabouts.

The evidence also showed that the judge's cellphone was used in all the areas his widow visited that weekend.

The trial continues

Same old story ... Impulse --> precious, delicate, delightful wifey wife ... first try the unlawful, devious and cunning means to the (greed) objective ... then when evidence surfaces to prove your evil ?? ... Impulsively show your angelic, convincing, good facade to hide the cunning character. Impulse, Impulsively malicious, Impulsively evil.
