March to disrupt Joburg traffic

2010-04-30 09:54
Johannesburg - Several roads in Johannesburg's CBD will be closed for a march by the Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union, metro police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar said on Friday.

They would gather at Mary Fitzgerald Square from 09:00 and the march was expected to begin at 10:30.

Marchers would proceed up Henry Nxumalo, turn left into President, then when they reached Sauer street would hand over a memorandum at the ANC's headquarters, Luthuli House.

They would then return to Newtown via Sauer and Jeppe streets at around 14:00.
