Mbalula: Sex scandal a plot against me

2011-11-08 08:49

Johannesburg - Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula says the woman who claims to be pregnant with his child was paid by intelligence agencies to rubbish his name, The New Age newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Mbalula told the newspaper that the woman, who has since been identified by various newspapers as 25-year-old Joyce Molamu, was paid R150 000 by national intelligence operatives meddling in the ANC's squabbles, in the run up to next year's elective conference in Mangaung.

"State institutions must not be used to fight political wars. It must stop now," he was quoted as saying.
He described the political environment within the ANC as "really a poisoned one".

Mbalula - who has major backing within the ANC Youth League, which wants him to replace Gwede Mantashe as ANC secretary general - said the atmosphere within the ruling party had become "polluted".

He said state security agencies were being used to spy on party leaders, including those in the government.

Last weekend, Molamu claimed she fell pregnant when she and Mbalula had unprotected sex after meeting at a party.

Mbalula has since denied that he and Molamu had unprotected sex and claimed he used a condom, but it burst.

He denied that Molamu was pregnant and said she was a "serial extortionist".

So it is fine now as you used a condom? Nonsense.

      thozamah - 2011-11-08 09:24

Although you one of my favorite minister but what you saying doesnt make sense ,the woman didnt force you to sleep with her and you even went back for more . the woman didnt force you not to use a condom on both occasions . Just when we where beginning to forget you decide to make stupid comments , you owned up well at first ,DUDE!!!!! just shut your month we will soon forget about this ......buy the way how old is this woman because last time i checked she was 27

      Ann - 2011-11-08 10:22

This story just does not make sense - last week apologies abounded and today as reported on the radio - he was the victim of a "honey trap". Which is it? I actually had some respect for the swift apology, now I am no longer sure...

      chris.debruyn1 - 2011-11-08 11:39

How does a condom BURST? Tear yes, but he must be superman...

      roboman1 - 2011-11-08 15:21

These people, geez no wonder there is such an over population in Africa, between their various leaders, Malema, the current leader of the youth league telling everyone to have more babies and Mbalula, a previous President of the youth league actually making more babies via an adulterous relationship, what next. More lies, videos and sex tapes, the ANC need to start elevating themselves, they lead the country, whether we like it or not. It would be nice to have a majority of moral, non corrupt, non lying political leaders in power. 2 consecutive police chiefs ousted for alleged corruption and what does Roux Shabangu say? It is just whites who hate seen a successful black businessman! No Mr. Shabangu, I bet it is whites and blacks who are sick of corruption, crookery, skullduggery, tenderpreneuring, etc etc, ultimately it is the poorest of the poor who suffer from you and your ilk. Even our president was only saved by some fast legal work when it was ruled that certain documents were inadmissable against him with his corruption trial. (And also a baby making exercise, who can forget his have a shower to prevent HIV?) I know so many smart blacks in SA, when will the struggle mentality die down so that the new wave of non embittered blacks can rule the ANC, and the new generation of whites. In fact let us please get past colour and get leaders who will not steal, pomp and lie their way through life!

      Marion - 2011-11-08 16:00

Damn! I bet many guys wish the condom would break when they use it simply so they can brag about their assets. In this case liabilities. Wasn't there an accusation that the women who accused JZ of rape was also part of a political plot to keep him out of office or something? Someone seems to have sized some men up and found them totally lacking when it comes to self control. I think it's known as 'instant gratification' and to hell with the consequences. Until the brown stuff hits the fan that is. Then its a plot.

      John - 2011-11-08 22:58

So the ex youth league leader does not know how to use a condom? Does he know how to use anything? Can he Read? Can he Write? Lets test him, can he read the speech by Gorbachov where he explained that the Revolutionary Democratic Revolution does not work?

  • ben.nel2 - 2011-11-08 08:59

    Did they sabotage his condom?

      Juicecard - 2011-11-08 09:13

  • christian.helberg - 2011-11-08 09:03

If you are so adamant that it is plot, surely you wont object to a DNA test then?

  • aarchaic - 2011-11-08 09:03

  • Sam - 2011-11-08 09:16

  • Myth - 2011-11-08 09:16

  • marazor - 2011-11-08 09:20

Now I get it. This poor man was kidnapped by 'agents', taken to this woman's place... strip naked, then this woman was placed on top of him... Poor Mbalula

      Sam - 2011-11-08 09:28

  • VanGraan - 2011-11-08 09:23

    true that my leader!!! Siyabangena

  • mpho.khiba - 2011-11-08 09:27

Mbalula is a man. temptation is there it was unfortunate for him to be caught, when he was trying to taste some outside steak. get over it people. others do it like now, but won't be considered because they were expected them to do it.

      Moi1980 - 2011-11-08 09:51

Really???? So because he is a man who was "tempted" it makes it ok??? Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. I pity any woman that gets involved with you.

      Samuel - 2011-11-08 10:10

You give men a bad name. I am a man, nothing like you and Fikile Mbalula

      Deirdre - 2011-11-08 10:29

It's not the fact that he gave into temptation the ticks me off Mpho, it's the fact that he last week he was man enough to own up to the fact that he did, and now this week he's changed his story saying it was a trap. He simply needs to man up, accept the consequences and deal with them, if he is the father then he should pay to help bring the child up, and on the other hand she should not be allowed to blackmail him, the amount due should be decided by the maintenance court.

  • Erich - 2011-11-08 09:32

Paranoia is the overrriding consideration here, Minister.

  • Thulisa - 2011-11-08 09:36

MMHH How convinient! If he had not slept with that woman who would have the "the national intelligence operatives" paid to bring him and the ANC down...... He must stick to lying to his gallable wife and leave every body else alone!

  • Gavin - 2011-11-08 09:39

Paranoia: A mental condition characterized by delusions of persecution, unwarranted jealousy, or exaggerated self-importance...

  • madelainm - 2011-11-08 09:40

What a toss, he admitted sleeping with her and now he is using someone else as a scapegoat for his actions. Maybe he should read his previous statement before making the next one!!!!

  • Maximus Odinidus - 2011-11-08 09:42

I think the purpose of this statement is to support the idea that there are well funded forces working against the ANC sabotaging the party. It's just more cover up lies.

      jody.beggs - 2011-11-08 09:58

Dude the well funded forces are IN the cANCer ! Quote 'He described the political environment within the ANC as "really a poisoned one".' cANCer fighting cANCer its a win win situation . What a joke !

  • Kevin - 2011-11-08 09:43

Shame ,They took your ugly little pecker and made you have sex. You are truly an ars#

  • Riaan - 2011-11-08 09:44

Sooooooooooo. she was actually a honey trap!!!. Fekile, when one is horny, don't blame others for your hornyness. It takes tow to tango mate and you were the one of the two. Your situation reminds me of that great AC/DC song - Caught with your pants down. You were caught out wena - now be a man with a backbone (and not the other bone) and face your family. Stop wining and trying to blame everybody but yourself. you were horny, got what you wanted and now your crying-poor baby.

  • djsmuts - 2011-11-08 09:45

He could be right- the same thing happened to Justin Bieber with that 19 year old...must be the CIA

  • Thabo - 2011-11-08 09:46

What's new? Learned from the best! Sleeping around is surely part of the package with these ANC. Leadership at it's best! The lot is all a disgrace to our struggle!!!

  • Dalai - 2011-11-08 09:50

Nobody but himself opened the zip of his trousers, and didn't even use a condom..Now he is playing the victim of actions he should know better the consequences about! There is always a fall guy for these BBBEE guys.

  • Paul - 2011-11-08 09:51

I suppose it was a Nat Int plot to get you to go and shag her in the first place. Just goes to show what head our goverment ministers think with first...and the same can be said for their leader as well. Funny we dont hear the same about Juju, but then again,I dont think the Nat Int have enough money to find pay someone to sleep with Juju.

  • smahlaba - 2011-11-08 09:52

Nxa! Mbalula must just keep his mouth shut. He has done wrong and should be a man about it and just move on.

  • sibonangaye - 2011-11-08 09:53

but honestly, this is too lame an excuse coming from a supposingly astute minister. Mr Mbalula, admitted that you are fallible like any other human being and you are suceptible to mistakes rather than trying to justify what happened. And not this issue of a condom bursting because it sends a bad message to young kids out there. When a condom bursts you feel it and it will only bursts if you have put it in the wrong way. Mr Minister just be man enough and admit your mistakes. I think believe Mr Zuma is a better and smarter politician than all of you. When they were rummours that he had been framed by the then president, 'do you remember his response'? Please take a leaf from there and you will become great. My advise to you might not mean a thing but take it........

  • Yar - 2011-11-08 09:53

So Mr Minister, let me get this straight: 1 You didn't shag the lady. 2 The offspring is not yours. 3 It's not your fault, because while you weren't shagging her the condom burst. 4 The condom was supplied as part of a government sponsored backhanded BEE Tenderpreneur deal by your cousin, who got them from China and the quality was really bad. 5 There is a third force who paid the woman. 6 The NIA (NAAI) have got it all on camera. 7 The ANCYL have accepted your apology for not shagging her bur can't understand why you would use a condom. I don't know what to believe anymore.

  • Paas - 2011-11-08 10:03

Do these guys PAY people to do their public relations? Oh I forgot, the PR contract is merely to give a bruddah a nice payment out of state funds, not really to receive a service.

  • Jacqui - 2011-11-08 10:04

Yes, but whose hands were on his zipper?.

  • Roberta - 2011-11-08 10:05

Remember the words "Et tu, Brute"? The so called leaders might well re-read Shakespeare, before they get stabbed in the back!

      Yar - 2011-11-08 10:08

Very subtle Bob. The Minister won't have a clue.

  • Razz - 2011-11-08 10:07

Hey Tata, you talking nonsense. You know we don't use condoms. We like to taste the meat. Ask Zuma he will confirm this statement. We just take a SHOWER after shagging them.

  • Peter - 2011-11-08 10:10

    Prove it!

  • daniel.modubu1 - 2011-11-08 10:15

If he contracted HIV due to the bursting of the condom, would he blame the agents for infecting him with HIV? He is one of my few favoutite guys and ministers within the ANC but and I liked him more when he even admitted and apologised for his irresponsible act but he lets me down by involving agents plotting against him. This agent excuse surely comes from the Youth League.

  • Brent - 2011-11-08 10:22

where the h*ll do they ALL come with this crap..wow!!!

  • Elle-Black - 2011-11-08 10:37

That's the way to do it Mr Mbalula, never ever take responsibilty for your actions and if you ever make the mistake of owning up and apologising, come back a week later and try to put a spin on the story

  • Robs - 2011-11-08 10:41

Next time don't use a condom you got from Malema. He's got wood splinters in his fingers.

  • Warwick - 2011-11-08 10:55

First this clown apologises to all and sundry and now he seeks blame elswhere. Be a man, you are not a "youth" anymore. What do you think would happen if a condom burst? Not to bright are you.

  • Michelle - 2011-11-08 11:08

Maybe he should have kept his d$%# in his pants!!

  • Cheryl - 2011-11-08 11:12

This epitomises our leaders....i am guilty but....johnny said i should hahahaha accountability for nothing.. (i actually think his screwing around is nothing to do with his work, but what a good indictaion of his lack of character and integrity)...PRICELESS.

  • roboman1 - 2011-11-08 11:17

  • Peter - 2011-11-08 12:41

As a married man one cannot defend himself on the basis of a condomn that bursted. One should not have at all had sex outside marriage. Mbalula has no excuse. Its high time that all political leaders go back to God and live according to God's standards if they are to lead the country with integrity.

      mzi.shoma - 2011-11-08 14:29

Peter it all started when the prayer assemble at schools was banished. Where will our leaders get integrity from if they can't even recognise the Creater of Heaven and Earth. Let's face it these are the final days.

  • Harlem - 2011-11-08 12:46

Even if that was a trap. i for one do not think the trapper operated your zip from a distance. You guys are just pervert and this is just a spill of what you are always doing abusing tax money.

  • Epher - 2011-11-08 15:59

Cheating is cheating! You simply cannot be trusted, like most politicians. There are numurous affairs within government circles, its like its the in thing! You know who you are!
