Johannesburg - President Thabo Mbeki has joined the international community in expressing outrage at the terrorist attacks in Amman, Jordan, which have left scores dead and many injured, the foreign affairs department said on Thursday.
Spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa conveyed a message of support from Mbeki to King Abdullah 2.
"Please accept on behalf of the government and people of South Africa our deepest condolences to the government and people of Jordan following the cowardly attacks on innocent civilians.
"The SA government condemns unequivocally these heinous acts and expresses its confidence that the perpetrators of this callous act will be brought to see the full might of the law," Mbeki said.
"Terrorism cannot be used to justify any cause."
