Media24 launches R24m CSI initiative

Cape Town - Media24 has launched its biggest corporate social investment (CSI) initiative to date, donating R24m worth of advertising space in its publications.

The "Space To Grow" initiative will benefit 12 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and 12 small medium micro enterprises (SMMEs).

Each organisation will receive a media plan to the value of R1m which will include substantial advertising space in Media24's magazines, newspapers and online titles.

Publications will adopt an organisation for one year.

The 12 NGOs were announced at the launch in Cape Town on Thursday 28 June 2012, while the SMMEs will be announced at a later date.

The NGOs, and the publications which have adopted them, are listed below:

Make a difference foundation (MAD) - Golf Digest
WWF – Weg/Go
Shanduka Black Umbrellas - Finweek.

Media24’s corporate social responsibility arm, CSI24, is also involved in a variety of other education, literacy, and community projects.

    I saw CSI and got all excited thinking Media 24 were going to help upgrade and modernise SA's forensics laboratories.
