Men in court for illegal abortions

2012-03-23 23:12

Pietermaritzburg - Two Ugandan nationals accused of fraud and of performing illegal abortions appeared in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate's Court on Friday.

The matter was postponed to allow negotiations to take place between Jonathan Kinane and his countryman Patrick Kiganyi.

They allegedly swindled a woman out of some R103 000.

Kinane and Kiganyi - both herbalists - also face charges of administering abortion procedures without the required licence.

They were arrested in December last year and are currently out on bail of R2 500 each.

The two allegedly told women that they were doctors with powers to communicate with ancestors.
The case resumes on April 20.

In Uganda, it's a criminal offence for any woman to abort a pregnancy or for any person to assist in abortions. So they come and murder our children instead. Abort them.

well,as long as we have retards running our country, people will just continue to do whatever it is they want and they will either go on vacation(prison) or walk the streets again out on bail! seriuosly, bring back the death penalty!people arent scared to commit crimes anymore cos they kno wthat the punishment is just prison, which in essence aint all that bad(a free place to sleep, food, gym, washing facilities, heck you can even study in prison)if th eknow they face the possibility of being put to death then maybe they would start thinking twice.
