Missing Pretoria woman: Ex hands himself over

2012-04-24 17:44

Johannesburg - The ex-boyfriend of a missing woman handed himself over to the Hawks on Tuesday in Pretoria, Gauteng police said.

Brigadier Neville Malila said Zwelibanzi Kidwell Zungu, 30, surrendered to the Hawks at the Pretoria Magistrate's Court in the presence of his lawyer.

He was wanted by the police for information regarding the disappearance of Nandi Mbizane, 27.

Police and Crime Line released Zungu’s picture to the media earlier in an attempt to find him and arrest him.

"Mbizane went missing last month from her home in Centurion, Pretoria. She was last seen in the company of her ex-boyfriend Zungu, as well as her current boyfriend," Malila said.

Police have offered a reward of R50 000 for information regarding Mbizane's whereabouts.

"Mbizane is still missing and therefore the assistance from the public is vital in helping us to find her and give peace to the family," said Crime line head Yusuf Abramjee.
