Johannesburg - Friends and family of two South African men whose plane went missing in Mozambique more than 10 days ago, have called for volunteers to help search for them, it was reported on Wednesday.
Mozambican authorities have called off the search for the Beechcraft 58, which was last heard from around Mozambique's province of Tete, reported Beeld newspaper.
Bryan Simms, 60, of Midrand, Johannesburg, and his son, Rob, 22, have been missing since October 27.
They were travelling from Malawi to Lanseria airport, north of Johannesburg, and were last heard from when the plane was near Beira, in Mozambique.
Shortly before the plane went missing, Simms senior said in a radio message that he had problems with one of the engines.
Beeld reported that their friends and family had called on any volunteers with access to satellite pictures and other technology to contact them.
"Everyone who wants to help, can contact us at mail@dizzy.co.za," said Dane du Plooy, who is part of the group searching for the men.
"We can't just stop looking for them," Du Plooy told the newspaper.
