Missing teen flees from rescuers

2012-05-28 09:47

Johannesburg - Residents of Westbury west of Johannesburg believe that a missing teenager does not want to be found and keeps eluding those looking for her.

Eyewitness News reported that Beranice Links, 16, who went missing three weeks ago, was moving from one drug den to the next.

Community members and police had launched a massive search for her but each time the girl was seen in one area, she appeared to run away to a new place.

She was last seen leaving for school from her sister’s home in Coronationville.

my heart bleeds for these poor children who become addicted to these ghastly drugs, and see the drug dealers as their friends.one is also led to question what their life was like at home when they prefer life on the street,to being found and returned.

I would love to hear this girl's side of the story. I'am sure that if she would rather stay on the streets & drugs there might just be going more on at home than there are admitted. What must your home be like if you are willing to just run away and keep on running, because you don't want to be found. What is she running from, or is it just the vicious claws of drugs ruining her life?

im failing to understand the part where they keep "spotting" her but fail to rescue her at the point in time, what are they waiting for?

the title can be misleading, for a moment i was thinking that she was caught and then escaped...
