"Two men were stoned to death on Sunday morning in Minitown," Lieutenant Colonel Vincent Mdunge said.

Maybe this will scare the bastards out of their mischievous ways... Atleast it's better than postponing a court case for 3 years...

      Graham - 2012-01-23 14:40

And then losing the docket for a R5 bribe!

  • Snoopsy - 2012-01-23 14:06

Good, make examples of these creatures! Perhaps then will the Government do something to protect its people. It's time the government realises that the people are sick and tired of criminals, sick and tired of being victims with no justice. Sick and tired of NO judicial system!!!

      sandra.j.rennie - 2012-01-23 14:15

Excellent ! Nothing like a Kangaroo court to sort out our problems with criminals fast and swift and at no expense to the Taxpayer ! Can we have some more of this Justice ?

  • PappaJoe - 2012-01-23 14:06

Judging by the number of "mob justice" cases recently, it would seem that the general population is very much for the death sentence... Would it not serve as a deterrent for crime of any kind?

  • VOVO247 - 2012-01-23 14:09

Efficient Justice. Done efficiently. Give these residents a Bells :) Slaughter criminals on sight!!! Do not let police protect these demons, destroy & burn immediately

      daryltt - 2012-01-23 14:17

The folk in that township will think twice about stealing now.

      VOVO247 - 2012-01-23 14:35

I'm white and I can honestly, from experience, I feel safer in certain townships than I do in certain suburbs. Those who have little, will fight for that bit they have, as opposed to many of my neighbours who as opposed to uniting & killing demons, just report to SAPS & claim from insurance...

Softly we will say viva to the stoning crowd even though we may not like what they had done. If it were to carry on at least some people will sleep in peace. Viva.

      Vermie - 2012-01-23 14:40

Some people might sleep in peace? Until the day you walk down a street and somebody shouts you are a criminal. No evidence, no innocent till proven guilty. You get stoned, beaten and burnt to death.

      Samora - 2012-01-23 19:23

a friend was assaulted by a mob as he was dressed similar to the criminal who had gotten away. lets see how happy the pro-vigilante mob will be when it happens to you or someone you know

  • Robbie - 2012-01-23 14:20

    Cool,well done.

  • Shirley - 2012-01-23 14:21

Live by the sword-die by the stone! Leave other peoples stuff alone!!!!!

  • deonk - 2012-01-23 14:31

Brutal but what other choices do people have...

      E=MC2 - 2012-01-23 14:32

      um, get a job firstly

      Vermie - 2012-01-23 14:42

Think he meant what other choice do people have but to take the law into their own hands o.o And you alway have a choice. Taking another person's life should not be the answer. It makes us just as bad as them.

  • Sechaba - 2012-01-23 14:31

    for a cellphone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Gerhard - 2012-01-23 14:42

That is exactly why crime is so bad in South Africa. I mean, they only stole a cellphone, big deal. Someone worked really hard to buy that cellphone but if criminals want it, they must just take it. ECONOMIC FREEDOM IN OUR LIFETIME!! And we no longer care who we have to steal from to get it.

  • TheWatcher - 2012-01-23 14:32

Its a shame this country has to turn to mob violence to get its basic policing done

  • E=MC2 - 2012-01-23 14:32

    Bring on mob justice!!

      Vermie - 2012-01-23 14:43

Until you're on the other end... all it takes is one voice and an angry mob and you're toast o.o Scary but true fact of mob justice.

      Snoopsy - 2012-01-23 15:32

Vermie, why don't you put up a cross in rememberance of the criminals if that will make you feel better? Its because of people like you with your Human Rights BullS**t, that the general piblic is reverting to mob justice. Open your eyes, the government does not protect you. It might just have been stealing a phone, but soon it will escalate to house robbery, agrivated assualt, rape and finally murder.

      Vermie - 2012-01-23 16:04

@snoopy Lol. I think you need to re-read and open your mind a little. I'm not compaining for the theft I'm asking when does it end? are you willing to kill everybody? even the little kid that steals a piece of food cause he is hungry? stealing is stealing. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Taking a life for a phone? Why not beat the crap out of him sure. Or take his hand. But a life? We are told from an early age Thou shall not kill. Let the one who is without sin cast the first stone.

  • Max - 2012-01-23 14:37

We can learn something from these people...they don't take nonsence from criminals.

  • Deon - 2012-01-23 14:49

Will they also kill a child when he steals a chappie? How about killing an official taking a bribe? Mob justice is wrong.

  • Brent - 2012-01-23 14:51

If only they knew exactly how much some corrupt government officials were stealing from them...

  • VOVO247 - 2012-01-23 14:56

@Blinding, Sick but necessary video. People dont just do that for nothing, the guy did something. Softly does not seem to work so maybe hardcore will send the right message. Oh, & one thing is for sure, whatever he did, be it gay or other forms of evil, it is guaranteed that he will not do it again.

  • frikkie.botes - 2012-01-23 15:00

We need to get that as law in parliament, number one, the crime will drop, number two ,the courts will be more empty.

      Saksak Motsepe - 2012-01-23 16:08

number three, half the population will be dead, number four, ...?

  • colleen.figg - 2012-01-23 15:03

stoned to death. .... how... Biblical

  • Bogoshi - 2012-01-23 15:19

Hope Minister of transport and His SANRAL budies are aware of this incident, so that they can apply their brains properly, before they decide to steal the little we're left with after SARS overtaxed us.

  • Mbongeni - 2012-01-23 15:25

The guys that were stoned are very dangerous. It is fortunate that the girls who were robbed, were not raped. These criminals have been threatening the community for a long time. The police have not been doing enough to arrest these criminals and therefore the community has resulted at taking the law into it hands. The other gang members should know from this that the community will never tolerate their behavior.

  • Sharon - 2012-01-23 15:27

I wonder how many members of that mob have ever stolen anything.

  • Mbongeni - 2012-01-23 15:40

  • leeahkun - 2012-01-23 17:16

What should have been a case of theft turns into 2 cases of murder... Such forms of vigilante justice only leads to the creation of more cases for an already overloaded police force and takes much needed personnel away from investigating crimes committed by real criminals.

  • Brad.Kopping - 2012-02-24 19:54

maybe we should stone criminals to death too...seems the only wy of getting rid of em.

  • rofhiwa.ronald.1 - 2013-05-29 16:14

mob justice is the only solution to suppress the high rate of crime in our beloved country::ONE::
