Port Elizabeth - A mother in the Chatty area here, is in hiding after a baby swap drama at Livingstone Hospital two years ago came to light.
The woman apparently has the child of Didi Kievitts, who in turn has her son.
Kievitts' lawyer Keith Dietrich said on Monday the hunt was still on for the child. "So far we have had no success, but we are on the trail of a woman in Chatty who may have Kievitts' child".
"The woman apparently thinks she's in trouble, but that's not true. The babies were swapped accidentally in the hospital."
Dietrich says the woman can make a claim against the hospital if she comes forward.
Kievitts, 20, has been unwittingly raising an unknown mother's child.
Last year the father, Gerrit Martin, insisted on a paternity test. Blood samples were taken from Kievitts, Martin and little Gerrit, and the shock discovery was made.
