Mom kills son, hangs herself

Empangeni - A woman allegedly strangled and drowned her two-year-old son on Tuesday before hanging herself at her cottage in Empangeni, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Wednesday.

Captain Musa Khaba said the woman, 23, was found by her boyfriend, who notified police.

The motive was unknown and police were still investigating, he said.
