Moodley to get back his assets

Johannesburg - The Johannesburg High Court on Monday postponed granting an order for Leigh Matthews' murder-accused Donovan Moodley to get two of his assets returned.
The order was postponed until Tuesday when Moodley was to have a trailer and a BMW returned to him.
The Scorpions seized a BMW 325CI, a Ducati motorcycle and trailer and a Toyota Tazz at Moodley's home in Alberton, two months ago.
The State would keep - pending the outcome of the trial - a Toyota Tazz, a motorbike and Moodley's fiancée's engagement ring.
Moodley also has to pay R20 000 attachment fees.
Kidnapping, extortion and murder
His lawyer, Jonathan Minnie, previously lodged a High Court application for the return of the assets.
Provisional charges against Moodley include kidnapping, extortion and murder.
These arose from the July 9 2004 kidnapping of Leigh Matthews and the discovery of her body in the veld between Walkerville and Grasmere on July 21.
Moodley was due to appear in Wynberg magistrate's court again on February 17.
The case was due to go to trial in the High Court in July.
