More military medical teams deployed

Johannesburg - The SA Military Health Service (SAMHS) is sending more doctors and nurses to 62 hospitals around the country, it said on Thursday.
"After consolidation of the latest information the SAMHS is currently deploying multi-disciplinary medical teams to... 62 hospitals," SAMHS spokesperson Louis Kirstein said in a statement.
"Depending on the request a medical team may consists of doctors, nurses and emergency health care practitioners."
The service would also send personnel to assist with cleaning hospitals.
Medical teams would be sent to, among others, Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Gauteng, King Edward VIII Hospital in KZN, and Frere Hospital in the Eastern Cape.
