More stormy weather coming

Cape Town - The South African Weather Service has warned that another well-developed system is heading for Cape Town.

"We have received a warning of heavy rain of about 50mm for the Cape Metropole. Strong wind is also expected for the whole Western Cape," said Carlton Fillis.

Huge waves are expected at Plettenberg Bay.

But most Capetonians have described the weather this weekend as "normal, usual Cape winter weather."

The city was warned of a heavy storm this weekend. But farmers have said the heavy rains were a blessing and caused no damage.

Elise Smith, a farmer from Wellington said, "It was a normal winter's weekend."
