Cape Town - Outgoing Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe yesterday married his long-time partner, Gugu Mtshali, at a private ceremony in Houghton Johannesburg.

According to the Sunday Times, high profile guests who attended the ceremony included President Jacob Zuma, Lindiwe Sisulu, Cyril Ramaphosa, Blade Nzimande, Zwelinzima Vavi and Jeff Radebe among others.

Mtshali once worked as a PA to former ANC treasurer Mathews Phosa. Although the couple have been together for a number of years, Motlanthe only finalised his divorce from his estranged wife, Mapula, earlier this year.
