Mpumalanga ready for matric marking

Johannesburg - About 5 000 teachers and officials have been appointed to mark matric exams in Mpumalanga next month, the provincial education department said on Tuesday.

The marking of scripts would start on December 15, spokesperson Jasper Zwane said in a statement.
He said provincial results would be announced in Badplaas on January 5 2012 at 09:00.

Provincial education MEC Reginah Mhaule was quoted as saying: "The department is encouraged by the smooth manner at which these examinations progressed... we are proud that we were able to uphold the integrity and credibility of the process."
