Johannesburg - Four people, including a mother and her three-year-old son, were stabbed to death in Heidelberg on Wednesday, police reported.
Superintendent Andy Pieke said the bodies of the four were found when the homeowner, a Mr Greyling, returned to his house on Van Geusau Drive.
Lizmarie Minny, 19, was found on a bed, stabbed in the chest. In a nearby bathroom, Abraham Greyling, 21, had also been stabbed in the chest.
Helouise van der Westhuizen, 23, and her three-year-old son Donovan, were found in the en-suite bathroom off the main bedroom. They had also been stabbed.
Police suspected robbery might be the motive.
Van der Westhuizen's white Ford Escort, registration number FCL 010 GP was missing, said Pieke.
