Murder rocks Sun City

Pretoria - Sun City's PR manager was found murdered in her flat at the resort just days before the start of an international FIFA medical conference.
Colleen van Eyk, 60, died presumably on Sunday night after she was choked with a telephone cord and her head was repeatedly slammed against the wall, said North West police spokesperson Superintendent Lesego Metsi. It is not known what the motive for the murder was.
A Sun City employee found Van Eyk's body on Monday and police were called. No signs of forced entry were found at the flat.
She was apparently reading a book when she was attacked.
The FIFA conference will begin on Friday and will run until Sunday. It is expected to be attended by, amongst others, the physiotherapists of all the 32 teams taking part in the World Cup in South Africa. The conference will be followed by a team workshop (also at Sun City), which will be attended by the national teams' coaches.
Fifa did not want to comment on the murder on Tuesday night.
Sun International said on Tuesday afternoon that Van Eyk had worked for the company since 1992.
"Her death is very upsetting to all of us. We want to convey our deepest sympathies to her family. We assure them that we will work very closely with police to ensure her death is properly investigated."
