2009-12-11 07:47
Johannesburg - Three men were arrested in Johannesburg on Thursday for allegedly stealing a truck and trailer carrying a cargo of nappies, the city's metro police said.

The three, including the truck's driver, were stopped along the N3 highway near Modderfontein at around 11:00 and arrested, Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said.

The truck and trailer had been hijacked near Warden in the Free State on Wednesday night. The truck was found abandoned near Gold Reef City. The three were arrested driving a different truck and towing the trailer carrying disposable nappies worth about R2.5m.

They would appear in court soon.
