Johannesburg - Matric markers have been told they may not have sex or wild parties at marking venues, it was reported on Sunday.
A code of conduct stipulated that there be "no illicit liaisons in the hostels or on the grounds of the marking centre," the Sunday Times reported.
A manager at a marking centre told the newspaper he was adopting a zero tolerance approach to alcohol and sex.
"If anyone is found to be visiting the ladies' hostel or being drunk on the premises I will kick him out immediately. We make markers aware in advance of what is expected of them," he said.
A Limpopo code of conduct - similar to that in other provinces - reportedly provided that each marker be told "in which bed he or she will sleep".
The Sunday Times reported that more than 30 000 markers had begun marking the exam papers of 647 687 matrics at 118 marking venues.
