Cape Town - Water supply to parts of the Stellenbosch area in the Western Cape will not be interrupted as reported, the municipality said on Friday.

"The City of Cape Town informed the municipality that it will not conduct maintenance work in Wemmershoek this weekend," spokesperson Vernon Botha said.

Earlier, he said Pniel, Johannesdal, Kylmore, Meerlust, Lanquedoc, and Klapmuts would be affected between 05:00 on Saturday and 18:00 on Monday.

"We apologise for any inconvenience our previous communiqué may have caused."
