An early morning start to the day and you read things like this and think, just a normal day in 'good ol sunny SA!' (see the sarcasm)

      Define "normal" again....

This is the 2nd article of a woman killing a partner in less than 24 hours. Have they recently checked the water for mercury, it seems everyone is going nuts!

The unfortunate mindset of the general person in SA is getting worse. There is no thinking then action , its action then regret

      Linda - 2012-02-21 07:56

Are you sure about the regret? I think the problem is that there is NO regret - just justification.

Girlfriend must have been one of the inmates.

Women can’t live with them...can’t live with them. :)

      Rev-Ida - 2012-02-21 09:07

That irksome comma, or lack of, again :-, Clearly that MCP, Wt, meant to say "Women, can’t live with them ... can’t live with them" and of course the stiletto is on the other foot the way it has been written. Cordiali saluti, Rev.

      msendi - 2012-02-21 08:34

At least you know that the girlfriend's name was SA. The person who wrote the story didn't even mention the names of people involved… Condolences to the family of the deceased…

      Tau - 2012-02-21 09:02

Not sure if SA or not , but the fact is girlfriend in a mental institution. and a male nurse a fact. The girlfriend soon do be a patient.

Whatever has happened to the standard of news reporting in SA? Don't the papers report the names of victims and aggressors any more, or is that too much trouble?

      Annelize - 2012-02-21 08:30

She hasnt been in court and hasnt pleaded yet, therefore they are not allowed to name her..

  • Thokozane - 2012-02-21 08:24

Condolences to the nurse's family, but the story is not complete. Sterkfontein is for people with mental illness, and it is not reported whether the girlfriend was a patient there or just visiting.

      John - 2012-02-21 08:35

Happened in the nurses residence, which is separate from the hospital, so couldn't have been a patient.

There is nothing wrong with my country and this world, it is the human beings that are evil, and these evil people must be punished and banished. But, the government is far too lenient on these criminals. God have mercy on the victims and their loved ones. Amen.
