Cape Town - At least one person was killed and 13 injured in an accident involving a bus and a taxi on a major road near Cape Town, officials said on Monday.

It was not immediately clear what had happened but police spokesperson Colonel Andre Traut told News24 that there was an incident involving a taxi and a bus on the corner of Beach Road in Blouberg on Monday.

ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said that one person was killed and 13 patients sustained moderate injuries. He said paramedics were still busy on the scene.
