Bloemfontein - Two men have been found guilty of murdering a Parys farmer and his wife earlier this year, Volksblad reported on Thursday.

The Parys Circuit Court found Oupa Mokoena, 47, and Ezekiele Mguni, 30, guilty of the murders of Ernest van Rooyen, 77, and his wife Annetjie, 76, of the farm Somerset, the newspaper reported.

A woman, Mmaditaba Mokoena, 46, was acquitted.

The report said the farmer died of shock due to blood loss after being stabbed.

His wife suffocated after she was tied up and gagged, and put into a freezer while still alive.

The report said her murderers packed some frozen meat packets on top of her.

The men would be sentenced on Thursday, the newspaper reported.
