Polokwane - Two men have been jailed for life by the Limpopo High Court for an apparent muti killing, Limpopo police said on Wednesday.

Tendeni Mafune and Azwitamisi Tshililo tried to sell human body parts to a traditional healer who declined and then alerted the police, Colonel Ronel Otto said.

Two days afterwards, a resident found the body of 28-year-old Khathutshelo Tharage in the bush at Siloam.

"Tharage was found with multiple stab wounds and his genitals were tied with a shoe lace," Otto said.

A third man, Maluta Matimba, pleaded guilty to the murder when the three appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court in January 2011, and was jailed for life.

The other two pleaded not guilty and were tried separately.

They were convicted and sentenced on Tuesday.
