A 6month-old baby boy kidnapped from his parents' home in Bezuidenhout Valley, Johannesburg, was found safe on Thursday. Watch.WATCH

Johannesburg - The Pakistani couple accused of kidnapping a 6-month-old baby boy in Bezuidenhout Valley will apply for bail in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court on Monday.

Police arrested the couple on 10 January. They allegedly kidnapped the baby and tried to slit his nanny's throat.

The couple had rented a room in the family's house.

They face charges of kidnapping and attempted murder.

The father of the baby boy received had received an SMS that couple wanted R100 000 in exchange for the baby's safe return.

The baby was unharmed when he was found.

During the time of arrest police said the couple had three children of their own, and were apparently expecting a fourth.
