Polokwane - The Limpopo farmer's wife who was left a paraplegic after a farm attack two weeks ago died on Thursday night, Beeld reported.

Gloudien van Rensburg, 62, had been in the Limpopo Mediclinic, in Polokwane, since the attack on June 20, in which her husband Johan, 77, was shot dead next to her.

According to the newspaper, she was paralysed from the neck down during the attack, and suffered a stroke earlier this week.

Doctors summoned her children to the hospital on Thursday when her condition deteriorated.

Samuel Machoga, 32, Jonathan Mafifi, 29, Elvis Kobe, 23 and Marcus Sithole, 43, were arrested after the attack.
