Durban - A man was killed and another injured when their car crashed into a tree on Burger Street in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday, paramedics said.

The driver lost control of the car and ploughed into the tree, said Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha.

"Paramedics arrived at the scene just after 01:00 this morning and found the driver still trapped in the wreckage."

He died on scene, said Botha.

The injured man was taken to the Edendale hospital.

I wonder what speed this person driving at,how do you lose control of a vehicle at 60 km/h.

Mike don't say that. The speeders will downvote you in an instance. Apparently if you can lose control at 60km/h you should drive at 180km/h. According to them.
